Just for hanging pictures? Think again!
Love At First Sight
The problem? Our new house was designed with studio space, especially for my interests. Sewing! Quilting! Painting! Sketching! Model building! Antique restoration! Small groups could collaborate, and classes be taught.
I was so excited! I knew exactly where I would display my treasures and where I would store supplies.
New Home, New Challenges
But after 2 years all that natural light and open space was wasted on storage boxes and clutter. This wasn’t my dream studio — it was a repository for stuff and that stuff had settled in for the long term.
It was difficult to clean around it and every time I walked through the space the dream seemed a little less likely to ever become a reality. I began searching for how to hang a picture frame, quilt, or painting.
My discovery
One day I visited our local coffee shop and the owner, Kathy, who wanted to exhibit new art every month, was busy installing a hanging display system.
What I later saw was a professional display system and beautifully hung artwork of several sizes. No nail holes. Hmmm.
Kathy owned a coffee shop… she was not a gallery owner… perhaps you didn’t have to be a gallery owner to exhibit like a pro…
Research Pays Off
I really did my research before making the decision. For me it was a big step and choosing AS Hanging Display Systems was the right choice.
Ordering the All-in One Click Rail Cable Hanging supplies online was straightforward.
The box arrived promptly, and the contents were complete. I was impressed with the high quality of the pieces - I'll be able to use this system for many years and add to it.
How to Hang a Picture Frame
One person can install the rails - it took longer to find and mark the studs - and you don't have to install it all at once. But it looks better if you install the rails all around your room - wall to wall.
The cables are inserted where you want them (you don't have to slide them into the rail before you install it) and they are removed with a twist. So easy!
Hanging a framed picture - if it doesn't look right just move it. The system is allowing things to be changed around so easily.
My New Studio Space
AS Hanging Display Systems solved a massive problem and allowed me to move forward creatively. It gave me my studio space and I am actively doing projects in it. I recommend the system for hanging unusually shaped objects and I believe it would be very useful in any special room - Man cave, quilting or sewing room, art studio, etc.
Invisible Cables - So Inspiring!
The invisible cables can hang multiple items so imagine how you can group your pieces. They also take the weight of heavy objects without stretching (like the antique Mexican mirror I hung in the bedroom). So inspiring! Thanks AS Hanging!
