Art & Picture Hanging Systems

This regional tourism office wanted to take advantage of the large available window space to present their local attractions. With our art hanging hardware, visitors could see images both from the inside, and from the outside. A regional tourism office transformed its tall window wall into a striking gallery of local landscapes. Suspended from ceiling track on tensioned cables, the panels read clearly from inside and from the street, proving how commercial display systems can market a space and its message at the same time. Summary

A wall of glass is one of the most underused canvases in any office, and this regional tourism bureau saw the opportunity right away. By mounting a grid of aerial landscape panels across its floor-to-ceiling windows, the office built a gallery that works in two directions at once: a welcoming display for visitors inside, and an eye-catching billboard for foot traffic outside. The result is one of the clearest examples of how commercial display systems can do double duty, marketing both a destination and the brand behind it.

A Window Wall That Markets in Two Directions

The setting here is a bright, modern reception area with daylight pouring through a tall mullioned window wall. Rather than block that light, the design uses it. Each panel hangs in the open glazing on slim tensioned cables, so sunlight passes around the images and the prints stay legible from the sidewalk as well as the lobby. For a tourism office whose whole purpose is to draw people in, that outward visibility turns the storefront itself into an invitation.

      • Suspended panels keep sightlines and natural light open instead of walling them off.
      • Two-sided visibility means the same display reaches indoor guests and passing pedestrians.
      • Aerial photography of local rivers and shoreline gives the space a strong sense of place.

How the Commercial Display Systems Come Together

This installation is built on our ceiling-mounted track approach, part of the broader ceiling hanging systems family. The hardware stays nearly invisible from a distance, which is exactly what you want when the artwork and the architecture should be the focus. Commercial display systems like this one scale easily, so a few panels can grow into a full window grid without new anchors in the glass or frame.

      • Classic Ceiling Track runs along the top of the window line and carries the full weight of the display from above.
      • P-End Cables drop from the track to suspend each panel cleanly with minimal visual clutter.
      • Panel Hook Two Sided grips rigid panels front and back, holding them steady and level in an open span.

Why This Approach Works for Offices and Public Spaces

Commercial display systems earn their place in busy environments by being adjustable and low-maintenance. Because panels ride on cable and hook rather than fixed fasteners, staff can swap seasonal campaigns, refresh imagery, or re-space the grid in minutes. Nothing gets drilled, patched, or repainted between rotations, which protects the building finish and keeps update costs down over the life of the display.

      • Panels reposition or replace without tools at the wall.
      • No new holes in glazing, drywall, or window frames for each change.
      • Even spacing reads as intentional and professional in a client-facing lobby.

      Design Notes From the Installation

What makes this window gallery work is restraint. The panels are sized and aligned to echo the existing grid of the mullions, so the artwork feels built into the architecture rather than stuck on top of it. A consistent gap between rows and columns gives the eye room to move, and the cool tones of the aerial shots play nicely against the neutral, daylight-filled interior. It is a reminder that a great display is as much about layout and rhythm as it is about the hardware holding it up.

      • Align panels to existing window or wall grids for a built-in look.
      • Keep spacing consistent so a large group reads as one composition.
      • Let the content match the space: local imagery for a tourism office, product or brand visuals for a showroom.
