On which wall types can I install an AS Hanging track?
In most cases, AS Hanging tracks can be installed on almost all wall types, as long as you use the right fastener for your surface and follow the track installation guide.
Wall types that typically work
AS Hanging tracks are commonly installed on drywall, plaster, brick, concrete, and even ceramic tile. Mounting fasteners are included with wall tracks, and some built-in tracks also include hardware.
Included hardware and why fastener choice matters
Included hardware typically consists of screws and Triple Grip anchors. Triple Grip anchors are rated for use in drywall (3/8 in, 1/2 in, 5/8 in), brick, plaster, concrete, and ceramic tiles.
Warning: installer must choose the correct fastener
The correct fastener is critical for weight capacity and safety. The installer is ultimately responsible for determining the most appropriate fastener or fasteners for the specific installation and wall type.
Connector note for specific track types
Plastic connectors are supplied only for Click Rail, Up Rail, and Xpo Rail tracks. To install tracks with connectors, the wall or ceiling must be straight and even.
Glass wall note
Note: wall tracks do not install on glass
Installing a wall track on glass is not possible. If your project involves glass walls, a ceiling-mounted track is typically the better option.
Next step
Always refer to the installation guide that comes with your shipment and follow the recommended steps for your specific track and wall material.
