This is a variant of the Self-Gripping Hook and offers a bigger hanging portion allowing you to hang a wider range of objects of different shapes, such as 3D decorations, rope, fabric, etc. The most significant distinction is in the security bail much like that found on a carabiner. This carabiner clip prevents an item from becoming dislodged such as a theft deterrent system or really useful in earthquake countries. The carabiner clip is removable if you don't need it.
