How will my artwork connect to your art hanging systems?

Your artwork connects to an AS Hanging system through three linked parts that work together: a track mounted on the wall or ceiling, a cable or rod that hangs from the track, and a hook that grips your frame or object. Almost anything with a frame, a solid backing, or mounting hardware can attach.

What are the three core parts of the system?

The system is modular, so each part has one job and the three combine to hold your piece securely while letting you reposition it whenever you like. Understanding each part makes it easy to see how your specific artwork will connect.

  • Track: A rail installed once on the wall or ceiling. You can choose from wall tracks, ceiling tracks, and built-in versions depending on the space. Browse the full range of wall and ceiling tracks to see which profile suits your room.
  • Cable or rod: This slides into the track and can be moved left or right at any time. Stainless steel cables and nylon cords work well for lighter to mid weight pieces, while aluminum or stainless steel rods are the choice for heavier or oversized work.
  • Hook: The connector between the cable or rod and your object. The hook slides up and down so you can set the exact height without touching the wall.

Which hook connects to my artwork?

The hook is what actually grips your piece, so the right one depends on what you are hanging. AS Hanging offers a range of cables, rods, and hooks designed for different objects and settings.

  • Self-gripping hooks for framed art that already has wire, D-rings, or sawtooth hangers on the back.
  • Panel hooks for signage, plaques, and rigid panels.
  • Anti-theft hooks for public spaces, lobbies, schools, and other high traffic installations.
  • Specialized hooks for glass panels, aluminum frames, and cleated artwork.

What if my artwork has no hanging hardware?

If the back of your piece is bare, it can still connect to the system. We supply frame hangers and D-rings that install directly onto the frame or backing, giving the hook a secure point to grab. This is common with canvases, custom frames, mirrors, and three dimensional objects that ship without ready made hanging points.

What kinds of objects can I display this way?

Because the connection method is flexible, one system can handle a wide mix of items in the same space. That is why the same track can carry gallery artwork in one room, office signage in another, and rotating student or exhibit displays in a school, museum, or public building.
