Friendship is pure happiness and pleasure.

Our friends, coworkers, family, the people we have known since our youth and those we discover now, are all essential in our lives. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, we have rediscovered friendships, our loved ones, those we had left aside because of our busy daily schedules.

We have rediscovered ourselves from another angle, we started to look at each other in the eyes again and to smile at each other under our facemasks. We started to think of others, because life has proven to be fleeting and unpredictable at times.

Our friendships are stronger, and they triumphed despite the hardship, they spread by phone, video conference, and with emails. We took time for ourselves and for others, and shared moments with our children to make crafts and to visit our parents and friends.

At AS Hanging Display Systems, we want to highlight International Day of Friendship because human experience is indispensable and is to be cherished. Our customers, colleagues and suppliers are precious, and we thank them for their trust and friendship over the years and in these difficult times.

Human Solidarity

Human solidarity is very important and, on this July 30th, take a moment to tell your friends and relatives that you appreciate them and that you are thinking of them. Also protect people around you by respecting social distancing and hygiene rules.

A little history of International Friendship Day

International Friendship Day was proclaimed in 2011 by the United Nations General Assembly (A / 65/275) to remind everyone that friendship between people, countries, cultures, and individuals inspire efforts for peace. It also offers the opportunity to build bridges between communities.

It follows UNESCO's proposal, taken up in 1997 by the UN General Assembly (A / RES / 52/13), which defines the culture of peace as a set of values, attitudes and behaviors that reflect and promote conviviality and sharing. These values are based on the principles of freedom, justice and democracy, human rights, tolerance, and solidarity, which reject violence and help prevent conflicts by addressing their root causes.

Some heartwarming quotes:

“A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.”
– Walter Winchell

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”
– C.S. Lewis

“True friendship comes when the silence between two people is comfortable.”
– David Tyson

“A single rose can be my garden… a single friend, my world.”
– Leo Buscaglia
